How do I register to practise as a doctor in Cyprus?

The competent authority is the Cyprus Medical Council, located at the Ministry of Health in Nicosia. Requirements include being at least 21 years old, appropriate citizenship (Republic citizen, spouse or child, or EU citizen), a medical diploma recognized under the Third and Fourth Annexes of the Medical Registration Law, at least 12 months of clinical service including six months in pathology and six months in surgery, being a person of good character, not having been barred from medical practice for misconduct, and Greek language proficiency at Level C1. Fees are 300,00 euros for registration to the Cyprus Medical Register and 200,00 euros for recognition of a specialization title. Applications are acknowledged within one month and a decision is issued within a maximum of three months from the date the application form and supporting documents were duly submitted. Applications are submitted directly to the Cyprus Medical Council with documents including a birth certificate, a certified diploma copy with KY.S.A.T.S. equivalence certificate, a good standing certificate, and a CV.
