How do I register as an engineer in Cyprus?

The competent authority is the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK). Requirements include holding a diploma or university degree or other comparable qualification in any field of the Science of Engineering, being a Cyprus citizen, an EU citizen established in Cyprus, or the spouse of a Cyprus citizen, being above 21 years old, not having been previously convicted of a crime, and having adequate knowledge of the Greek language (for EU citizens); one year's practical work is required for Architecture and Civil Engineering. Fees are a registration fee of 55 euros per field, an annual professional licence of 30 euros, and an annual subscription of 35 euros (under 30) or 90 euros (over 30). A decision is issued within a maximum of three months from the date the application form and supporting documents were duly submitted. The application for registration to the Members' Register of ETEK can be submitted electronically, with identity documents, university degree, academic transcript, language proficiency certificate, and practical training certificate where applicable.
