Do I need a car in Cyprus, or can I manage without one?

On the coast you can live on taxis and your feet; for villages, the Troodos mountains and the Akamas you really need a car or a guided tour. Ride-hailing apps that work here are Bolt, CabCY and nTaxi (Uber and Yandex do not operate in Cyprus). Intercity buses are cheap (about €1.50 in town, €7 day pass) but sparse and slow between towns. Driving is on the left.

Choose by theme — wine, crafts, hiking or cool-in-summer — and by which town you are driving from.
